Binance Adds Hyperliquid's HYPE Token to Global Spot Trading Markets

Before the global spot listing, Binance had offered HYPE perpetual contracts since May 30, 2025, with leverage of up to 75x; Binance.US had also listed HYPE spot pairs in June.
HYPE launched on Nov. 29, 2024, with a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens; 31% of the supply was distributed to users through an airdrop.
Hyperliquid is designed specifically for trading: its Layer-1 centers on an on-chain order book called HyperCore and uses HyperBFT consensus for sub-second finality and zero gas fees on its core layer.
After Binance's announcement, HYPE/USD on Coinbase rose about 1.5% in 10 minutes and briefly gained nearly 1.9%, before retreating from part of the rise.
Binance added spot trading for Hyperliquid's HYPE token on September 24, launching three new trading pairs: HYPE/USDT, HYPE/USDC, and HYPE/TRY U.Today. The listing expands access to the token on a major centralized exchange, though users in the United States and other restricted regions cannot trade the new pairs CoinCodex. Binance slapped HYPE with a Seed Tag, marking it as a newer, higher-risk asset that may swing sharply in price Coin Gabbar.
Binance had offered HYPE perpetual contracts since May 30, 2025, with leverage as high as 75x CoinCodex. Binance.US had also launched HYPE spot pairs in June, but the global platform only now opened direct spot access. Deposits started ahead of trading, with withdrawals kicking off September 25 BigGo Finance. Algorithmic orders went live with the markets, with bots and copy trading to follow soon.
Hyperliquid is built specifically for traders, not general apps TronWeekly. Its Layer-1 blockchain centers on an on-chain order book called HyperCore. It uses HyperBFT consensus to settle trades in less than one second with zero gas fees on the core layer. This means traders pay nothing for basic transactions and get instant order execution—a big draw for high-frequency traders.
HYPE launched on November 29, 2024, with a maximum supply of 1 billion tokens CoinCodex. The project gave away 31% of the total supply to users through an airdrop, a popular way to bootstrap a community. Since then, the token has gained traction as Hyperliquid attracted institutional traders looking for a faster, cheaper way to trade on-chain.
After Binance's announcement, HYPE/USD on Coinbase rose about 1.5% in just 10 minutes U.Today. The token briefly jumped nearly 1.9% before pulling back from part of that gain. The quick spike shows how major exchange listings can move prices, though the pullback also reflects traders taking profits after the initial enthusiasm faded.
