Aprilia Launches SXR GT 125 And 175 Maxi-Scooters In India Starting At Rs. 1.11 Lakh

Bookings for both SXR GT models are open nationwide; they return the SXR name after the earlier SXR 125 and SXR 160 were discontinued.
Both engines are BS6 OBD-II Stage B compliant and compatible with E20 fuel.
The scooters use a telescopic front fork and a dual-effect hydraulic rear shock absorber with five-position adjustment.
The SXR GT 125 is offered in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro and Glossy White, while the 175 comes in Metallic Blue, Matte Black and Matte Green; accessories include a manually adjustable windshield and crash guard.
Aprilia has brought back its SXR maxi-scooter range in India with two new models: the SXR GT 125 and SXR GT 175. DailyHunt reports the scooters are priced at Rs. 1.11 lakh and Rs. 1.31 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. Both models feature 14-inch wheels, updated engines, and modern tech like Bluetooth connectivity on the larger model.
The SXR GT 125 produces 10.5 hp from its 124.45cc engine, while the 175 makes 13.1 hp from a 174.7cc unit. Auto India Daily notes both are BS6 OBD-II Stage B compliant and compatible with E20 fuel. Bookings opened nationwide, marking the return of the SXR name after earlier models were discontinued.
The 14-inch wheels are a key upgrade designed to handle uneven surfaces better. TopGear states the larger wheels improve stability and comfort on India's varied road conditions. The SXR GT 125 uses CBS (Combi Brake System), while the 175 adds front-wheel ABS for extra stopping power.
Both scooters use a telescopic front fork and dual-effect hydraulic rear shock with five-position adjustment. Braking comes via 220mm front disc and 140mm rear drum. The suspension setup aims to absorb bumps better than smaller competitors on India's highways and city streets.
The larger SXR GT 175 features a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation. The 125 steps back to a 5-inch LCD screen without those smart features. Motoroids explains the TFT display lets riders access phone functions wirelessly on the pricier model.
Both scooters come with manually adjustable windshields and crash guards as accessories. Paint options differ: the 125 is available in Matte Black, Glossy Azzurro, and Glossy White. The 175 offers Metallic Blue, Matte Black, and Matte Green.
Aprilia pulled the older SXR 125 and SXR 160 from the market earlier this year. DriveSpark notes the new GT range replaces those discontinued models. The return targets urban commuters who want a larger scooter for city rides and weekend tours.
The SXR GT range is positioned as a premium urban-touring option. Both models balance convenience with performance for riders seeking versatility and comfort on longer routes. Bookings are live across India's Aprilia dealership network.
