Redmi 17C 5G with massive battery and 120Hz display sets India launch.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi 17C 5G will launch in India on October 1, 2026, with its Indian model expected to match the version already released in Singapore. The budget 5G phone features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, and a 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging. Its cameras include a 50-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel selfie camera, and it will be available in brown, dark and purple finishes. Xiaomi has not announced Indian pricing or confirmed which memory configurations will be sold; the large HD+ screen and battery are key features of the device.
The display is rated for up to 810 nits of brightness; it also supports up to 240Hz touch sampling, DC dimming, Reading mode and Wet Touch Technology 2.0, which is designed to register touches with damp, oily or soapy fingers.
The brown finish has a leather-like or textured rear panel, and the phone's design includes a raised rectangular camera island and a waterdrop-shaped cutout for the selfie camera.
In Singapore, the 4GB RAM/128GB storage model launched for SGD 279, and Xiaomi also lists a 4GB/64GB version; the Indian models and prices remain unannounced.
The phone runs Android 16-based HyperOS 3, and its 50MP rear and 8MP front cameras support video recording at 1080p and 720p at 30 frames per second.
