Kalamazoo Expands Exploration Position With Victoria Gold-Antimony Corridor Acquisition

Kalamazoo Resources has consolidated a 100%-controlled 1,574-square-kilometre exploration position at its Mt Piper gold-antimony project in central Victoria, including 1,179 square kilometres of granted tenure and 395 square kilometres under application. Newly granted licences at Seymour and Hughes Creek provide continuous coverage across a 15-kilometre structural corridor centered on the Whiteheads Hill target. A 15-hole, 328-metre aircore program there confirmed a west-dipping hydrothermal structure, with results reaching 155 parts per million antimony and 68 parts per billion gold, although the company described the findings as early-stage and subeconomic. Reconnaissance work at Cunninghams and Kurkuruk has identified additional targets associated with historic workings, quartz veining and gold-antimony-arsenic geochemistry. Kalamazoo plans to use further geophysical, hyperspectral, geochemical and structural analysis to prioritize drill targets across the large landholding, which lies in the same broader geological setting as Victoria’s Fosterville, Costerfield, Nagambie and Sunday Creek deposits.
The Mt Piper project’s southern boundary is less than 100 kilometres from central Melbourne, giving the large exploration landholding relatively close proximity to major infrastructure and population centres.
At Whiteheads Hill, drilling identified a three-metre zone containing more than 100 ppm antimony within a broader anomalous interval, adding detail to the reported peak grades.
Whiteheads Hill lies east of Seymour and about 20 kilometres south of the Nagambie antimony-gold mine, along a north-south-trending faulted contact in Devonian sedimentary rocks.
Kalamazoo collected and analysed 452 soil samples from the Cunninghams and Kurkuruk reconnaissance areas for gold and a broad multi-element suite using LabWest’s Ultra Fine Fraction method.
The next targeting phase is intended to combine hyperspectral imagery, high-resolution airborne gravity gradiometry, geochemistry and structural interpretation to produce a ranked pipeline of drill-ready targets.
