Mirzapur Movie Nears ₹300 Crore Worldwide

The film earned Rs 1 crore overseas on Day 12, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 48 crore and contributing to the Rs 281.14 crore worldwide total.
Day 12’s Rs 5.50 crore came from 6,950 shows, down from 7,014 shows on the previous day; despite the reduction in screens, the film matched its second-Monday collection.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh predicted that the film would cross Rs 200 crore on Day 13 and projected a second-week total of roughly Rs 55 crore, calling the result unusual for a star-driven film even in its opening week.
On its 10th day, Mirzapur earned more than seven times Haiwaan’s same-day collection of Rs 1.85 crore, but remained well behind Hanuman Ansh, which earned Rs 22.50 crore despite being in its 38th week—or day 38—in theatres.
The film recorded 45.53% overall Hindi-market occupancy on its second Sunday, rising from 19.92% in morning shows to 57.15% in the evening before easing during night screenings.
Mirzapur: The Movie is closing in on ₹300 crore worldwide as it powers through its second week with strong box office momentum. The crime thriller collected ₹5.50 crore on Day 12, bringing its India net total to roughly ₹196 crore and worldwide gross to ₹281.14 crore, according to Pinkvilla. The film, led by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, and Ravi Kishan, is on track to cross the ₹200 crore India net milestone within days.
Trade analysts have called the film a blockbuster despite facing competition from newer releases like Hanuman Ansh and Haiwaan. NDTV reports the movie opened with ₹25.75 crore and peaked at ₹36 crore on its first Sunday, sustaining earnings through the second week with help from discounted ticket prices. The theatrical run marks a major success for the adapted web series.
On Day 12, Mirzapur played across 6,950 shows, down slightly from 7,014 shows the previous day. Despite the reduced screen count, the film matched its second-Monday collection, a sign of steady audience demand. Hindustan Times notes the film has grossed over ₹200 crore in India within 13 days of release, a significant achievement for a theatrical adaptation.
International markets contributed ₹1 crore on Day 12, bringing cumulative overseas gross to ₹48 crore. This overseas performance is critical to reaching the ₹300 crore worldwide target. Times of India reports the film earned ₹281.14 crore globally, with projections showing it will clear the ₹300 crore milestone soon.
While Mirzapur dominates newer releases, it trails the long-running Hanuman Ansh, which earned ₹22.50 crore on Day 38 in theaters. However, Mirzapur vastly outperformed Haiwaan, earning more than seven times that film's same-day collection of ₹1.85 crore. NDTV attributes the strong showing to the web series' built-in fanbase and the film's appeal across demographics.
The second Sunday recorded 45.53% occupancy across Hindi-market screens. Morning shows started at 19.92% capacity, climbing to 57.15% during evening slots before cooling during night screenings. Pinkvilla notes this occupancy pattern reflects steady audience interest heading into the film's third week, aided by discount pricing that boosts weekday collections.
