IGNOU Extends Deadlines for 2026 Admissions, Assignments, and December Term-End Examinations

Assignment submission methods differ by study mode: ODL learners should submit at their Study Centre or as directed by their Regional Centre and keep a stamped receipt, while online learners must upload assignments through the university’s Learning Management System and retain the acknowledgement.
IGNOU advised July-session applicants to have their APAAR ID ready before beginning the application process.
For admission payments, IGNOU accepts credit or debit cards, net banking and UPI. If a cancellation request is received after admission is confirmed, 15% of the programme fee—capped at ₹2,000—is deducted from the refund.
Before submitting the December TEE exam form, learners must select their eligible courses and examination centre and carefully check those choices, along with the other details entered in the form.
IGNOU has pushed back multiple deadlines for its July 2026 admission and December 2026 exams. Fresh admission applications for online and distance-learning programs now close on October 13 — giving students extra weeks to enroll. Assignment submissions for the December exam are due October 31, while exam forms can be filed fee-free through October 7 or with a ₹1,100 late charge from October 8 to 15.
The extensions apply to IGNOU's notified online and open-and-distance-learning programs, but not to semester-based or certificate courses. Students planning to apply should gather their APAAR ID ahead of time and review all program requirements before submitting.
Assignment submission rules differ based on your study mode. Distance learners must submit work at their Study Centre or follow instructions from their Regional Centre. Keep the stamped receipt as proof of submission. Online learners upload assignments through IGNOU's Learning Management System and must save the acknowledgement they receive.
Students can file their December TEE exam form without paying extra through October 7. After that date, a ₹1,100 late fee applies, and forms are accepted through October 15. Before hitting submit, double-check your course selections, exam centre, and all other details entered in the form — changes become harder after submission.
IGNOU accepts credit cards, debit cards, net banking, and UPI for admission fees. If you cancel after your admission is confirmed, the university deducts 15% of your program fee — capped at ₹2,000 from your refund. This means refunds range from partial to the full amount depending on your program cost.
Have your APAAR ID ready before starting the July 2026 application. Check which programs qualify for the extension — semester-based and certificate programs have different rules. Read all program requirements and submission instructions carefully. These steps take 10–15 minutes but prevent costly delays or rejected applications.
