LPS Futures Launches ERCOT Power Auctions on Trayport Trading Platform

LPS Futures has launched ERCOT auction contracts on TMX Trayport's web-based trading platform, according to Recorder. The partnership gives traders direct access to LPS broker markets through Trayport's Broker Trading System (BTS). LPS will start with ERCOT and PJM contracts, opening the door to more products later.
LPS Futures, an Independent Introducing Broker based in New York and Long Island, partnered with TMX Trayport to bring daily auction sessions online according to The Whig. The web-based system connects global clients to North American electricity markets. Traders can now access ERCOT and PJM contracts without leaving the platform.
TMX Trayport, owned by TMX Group, built the Broker Trading System to serve traders across multiple markets according to Owen Sound Sun Times. The new LPS Futures partnership fits the platform's goal of opening US power markets to more participants. BTS already handled energy trading—this move adds critical auction capabilities.
The launch marks the first phase of a wider rollout, according to Pembroke Observer. LPS plans to add more products and markets beyond ERCOT and PJM in coming months. The move signals growing demand from traders seeking easier access to US power auctions through centralized platforms.
