Franchising & Licensing Asia 2026 Unveils 21st Edition, Strengthening Singapore's Role as Regional Hub.

Singapore's biggest franchise and licensing trade show is back — and bigger than ever. Franchising & Licensing Asia (FLAsia) 2026 will run from 13–15 August at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, marking the event's 21st edition under organiser MP Singapore, according to AP News.
The three-day show will feature over 250 international franchise and licensing brands and more than 150 exhibitors. Organisers expect over 7,000 business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to attend, Yahoo Finance reported.
The FLAsia 2026 Opening Ceremony kicked off with the signing of three Memoranda of Understanding. The deals were struck with Nanyang Polytechnic, the Singapore Retailers Association, and Design Business Chamber Singapore, according to AP News.
A Memorandum of Understanding is a formal agreement between two or more parties. It signals intent to work together — but is not a binding contract. These three deals point to FLAsia expanding its reach into education, retail, and design sectors beyond its traditional franchise focus.
This year's event marks a new chapter as MP Singapore steps in as organiser. The show is presented by the Franchising and Licensing Association (FLA) Singapore. FLA is the body that represents franchise and licensing professionals across the country, Yahoo Finance noted.
FLAsia has run for over two decades, making it one of Asia's longest-running trade events in this space. Passing the organising role to MP Singapore signals a push to grow the event's scale and reach across the region.
With over 250 brands and 150-plus exhibitors, FLAsia 2026 is one of the largest gatherings of franchise and licensing businesses in Asia. Singapore has long served as a launchpad for brands looking to expand into Southeast Asia and beyond, AP News reported.
The event draws decision-makers from across Asia and beyond. For brands, it is a chance to find local partners and investors. For entrepreneurs, it is a place to scout the next big business opportunity. Over 7,000 attendees are expected across the three days at Marina Bay Sands.
FLAsia 2026 opens on 13 August and closes on 15 August. The Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre is one of Singapore's largest event venues. It gives the show room to host hundreds of brands under one roof, Yahoo Finance reported.
Attendees can expect networking sessions, brand showcases, and deal-making opportunities. The three new MOU partnerships with Nanyang Polytechnic, the Singapore Retailers Association, and Design Business Chamber Singapore suggest this year's programme will go beyond traditional franchise displays to cover retail trends and design innovation.
