Admiral Beverage Recalls Thousands of 7Up Cans Due to Mislabeling

Over 77,700 cans of 7Up, labeled Zero Sugar, were voluntarily recalled after it was found to contain the sweet ingredient. The voluntary recall was initiated by Utah-based Admiral Beverage Corporation, an independent beverage distributor. However, the Food and Drug Administration has classified the recall as a Class II event, meaning the potential for serious health consequences is "mid-level". The affected cans are 12-ounce cans that come in 12-pack cases distributed in Utah. They can be identified by their UPC code 0 78000 03798 2 with the Lot Code/Batch Code: UT06176. While the cases were labeled correctly, some may contain individual cans mislabeled as 7UP Tropical Zero Sugar. The FDA has advised consumers to dispose of the recalled items and return them for a full refund.
