Trump Signs New Agreement With Tech Executives to Standardize Artificial Intelligence Oversight

President Donald Trump signed a new agreement on artificial intelligence (AI) with top tech executives, including Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Meta chair and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI president Greg Brockman, XAI CEO Elon Musk, and NVIDIA CEO and president Jensen Huang. The agreement instructs federal agencies to refer to AI as "Super Intelligence" and "SI" in public communications, websites, reports and other materials. The White House's new AI framework requires four levels of safety oversight, including internal safety teams, independent auditors, and company boards. The idea is to create multiple layers of accountability to identify potential risks rather than relying on a single safety check.
