Google Expands AI Mode to Include Direct Hotel Bookings and Flight Tracking

Flight price tracking via AI Mode is live in more than 180 countries and territories (excluding the European Economic Area), with pricing data drawn from 300+ partner airlines and travel sites.
Some flights shown in AI Mode display loyalty-program pricing (for example American Airlines AAdvantage) and redemptions are handled on the airline’s site, not directly within Google.
The initial US hotel-booking rollout includes a 'Continue on Google' flow with about 10 hotel chains/sites, including Trip.com, and bookings are completed via Google Pay, with the merchant of record currently remaining with the partner.
Google has signaled additional partners will be added soon, including Accor, Flying Blue, Hyatt, LATAM, and the Lufthansa Group, expanding both flights and hotels in coming weeks.
Google is expanding its AI Mode search tool to book hotels and track flight prices in real time. Business Circle reports the feature lets users ask AI Mode to find and compare travel deals directly in the search results. Hotel bookings are now live in the United States, while flight price tracking works in more than 180 countries and territories.
The rollout includes partnerships with major hotel chains and travel sites like Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott, and Hilton. Search Engine Journal explains that users can complete hotel reservations through a "Continue on Google" flow powered by Google Pay. Flights show prices in both dollars and loyalty points, letting customers decide how to pay.
Google's flight price tracking draws data from over 300 partner airlines and booking sites. Android Headlines notes the feature lets users set up email alerts when prices drop for specific routes. The tool works in 180+ countries, except the European Economic Area. Prices display in both cash and loyalty program miles or points.
When flights show loyalty pricing, like American Airlines AAdvantage miles, users complete the redemption on the airline's own site, not within Google. Alphabet has signaled more airlines will be added soon, including LATAM and the Lufthansa Group. This gives travelers more options to compare costs before booking elsewhere.
Google's hotel-booking feature is now live for US users in English only. Crypto Briefing reports Google partnered with major names like Booking.com, Expedia, and Marriott to let people reserve rooms without leaving the search results. Users complete bookings through a "Continue on Google" flow that processes payments via Google Pay.
The initial partners include Hilton, Wyndham, Priceline, and other major chains. Search Engine Journal notes the hotel partner remains the merchant of record, meaning they handle customer service and post-booking support. Google provides the search interface and payment processing, but the hotel or travel site stays in control of the reservation.
Google has announced plans to expand both hotel and flight partners in the coming weeks. Whale's Book reports that Accor, Hyatt, Flying Blue, and the Lufthansa Group will be added to the platform. This expansion will give travelers more hotel chains and airline loyalty programs to browse and compare in one place.
However, travel booking in AI Mode remains unavailable in European Economic Area countries. Google is focused on building out the US experience first before rolling out globally. The company's broader goal is to turn AI Mode into an all-in-one travel planner with reviews, price comparisons, and seamless booking.
