Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Zeitgeist AI (“Zeitgeist,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use our website at www.zgst.ai, our progressive web app, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
- Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and credentials, or — if you sign in with a third-party identity provider — the basic profile details that provider shares with us.
- Profile and workspace information. Brand or creator name, social handles, avatar, tagline, team members, and workspace settings you add.
- Content you create. Drafts, templates, designs, captions, campaigns, offers, messages, and any text, images, or files you upload to or generate within the Service.
- Payment information. When you make a purchase, add funds to a wallet, or transact on the marketplace, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your payment details. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications. Information you provide when you contact us for support or otherwise correspond with us.
Information from connected accounts
If you choose to connect a social account such as Instagram (via the Meta Graph API), we receive information you authorize, which may include your account profile, media, captions, insights and metrics, audience demographics, and the ability to publish or schedule content on your behalf. We access this data only to provide the features you request and only for as long as your account remains connected.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data. Pages viewed, features used, actions taken, approximate location (derived from IP), browser and device type, and similar diagnostic data, collected through analytics providers (PostHog and Vercel Analytics).
- Cookies and similar technologies. We and our providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Service is used. See Cookies and Tracking below.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Create and generate content you request, including AI-assisted text, captions, images, and design variations;
- Publish, schedule, and manage content on social platforms you connect, at your direction;
- Process payments, wallet funding, payouts, and marketplace transactions;
- Authenticate you, secure your account, and prevent fraud and abuse;
- Send service-related and transactional communications (via Resend);
- Analyze usage to understand and improve performance and features; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. AI Processing and AI Providers
Some features use artificial intelligence. When you use them, the content you submit or generate (for example, prompts, captions, story text, and images) may be sent to third-party AI providers — which may include OpenAI, Google, xAI, Anthropic, and Cerebras — to produce a result, in some cases routed through the Vercel AI Gateway. We send only the data needed to provide the feature. We do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models except as permitted by their applicable terms, and we configure our integrations to limit data retention where such controls are available. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for reviewing it before use.
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers (sub-processors). With vendors who process data on our behalf to run the Service, under contracts that require them to protect your information. Our key sub-processors include Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database and file storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), PostHog and Vercel Analytics (analytics), Vercel (hosting), Sanity (content management), and the AI providers listed above.
- At your direction. When you connect a third-party platform or publish content, we share the relevant information with that platform (for example, posting to Instagram).
- Collaboration. Content you share with collaborators, campaign participants, or via a public share link is visible to those recipients.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Zeitgeist, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
5. Instagram and Meta Platform Data
Our use and transfer of information received from the Meta Graph API adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. We use Instagram data solely to provide the analytics, scheduling, and publishing features you request. You can disconnect your Instagram account at any time from your settings, which revokes our access. You may also manage app permissions directly in your Instagram or Facebook settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and thereafter as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete content or your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, port, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can update much of your information directly in the Service, and you can request account deletion by contacting us at support@zgst.ai.
You can also review our Data Deletion page for instructions specific to connected Meta and Instagram data.
- EEA/UK (GDPR). You may exercise the rights above and lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We process personal data on the legal bases of contract, legitimate interests, consent, and legal obligation, as applicable.
- California (CCPA/CPRA). You may request access to and deletion of your personal information and to correct inaccurate information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the Service (for example, to keep you signed in) and analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality. We honor applicable browser-based opt-out signals where required.
9. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and row-level security on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
13. Contact Us
